About Michael

Michael is a hard working, self-motivated person that enjoys a challenge. Michael Crane Jr., was born and raised in South Richmond Hill, NY. He attended St. Mary Gate of Heaven School in Ozone Park, before following in the footsteps of his father by attending Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, NY. While attending Molloy, Mike ran Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track each year.

Sports has always played a large part in his life. He played Little League Baseball and CYO Basketball throughout elementary and middle school. During High School, Mike continued to play CYO basketball in addition to Track and Intramural Sports at Molloy. In fact, sports are such a large part of his life that he created his very own sports oriented website in 2005 - www.MikePickz.com.

During Junior year of Molloy, Mike began to gain an interest in the Stock Market and joined the Investment club at Molloy. The passion for finance and accounting carried into his senior year when he enrolled in an optional Accounting course at Molloy. The connection was instant and Mike knew what he wanted to do in his life. He graduated Molloy on a scholarship to York College of Pennsylvania to major in Accounting.

In his second semester at York College, it became clear that he would be able to graduate in only three years by taking on full course loads each semester. During his second year, he enrolled in the Masters in Business Adminsitration (MBA) Dual Degree Program. This program would allow him to take MBA classes during his last year at York. He successfully graduated from York College in three years and received the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude. Mike is currently finishing his MBA in Finance at York College.

It was at York College, where Mike was introduced to the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team. During his Freshman year, Mike took the initiative to take a leadership role in the Stock Market Challenge Program. From there, Mike began to take on more and more leadership roles within the organization. At the end of Freshman year, Mike decided to run for Treasurer of SIFE. He didn't win, but he didn't put his head down. The next year, he joined the e-board as the team's webmaster and ran again for Treasurer. He won and created a detailed budget spreadsheet to help organize York SIFE's finances. Mike remains the Treasurer as he completes his MBA.
